The State took a big chunk (the Nurse was a low paid CNA, who had spent years on welfare) the remainder the nurses grown kids got in a payout over ten years, which they promptly sold to JG Wentworth for thirty cents on the dollar, and pissed that away over a few months in the casinos at Shreveport.

The logging company couldn't get insurance, so they liquidated all their equipment and property. The timber land they owned was bought by a conservancy, so 20 loggers lost their jobs.

Yea, great result from a lawsuit!
***If this scenario happened even 1/4 of the time, then i agree with you...
but 90% of the time, its just the big corporations NOT having to pay out
what is needed in medical costs... that happens 90% of time.. sure its not
always...but mostly it was put into place to keep the big corp's fatter and richer..
